YMCA REOPENING JUNE 29TH

As a nonprofit dedicated to keeping our community healthy, safe and thriving for all, Y members like you make our impact possible. Thank you for staying with us during these incredibly challenging times. Thanks to your support, the Y was able to serve over 6,000 meals, provide free virtual classes for the community and lend a listening ear to our seniors.

You were here for your community when it needed you most, and we remain here for you. We are thrilled to announce that we will be reopening our facility on Monday, June 29th! Your YMCA membership will automatically be be moved from on hold to active on July 1st.

Here are the areas that will be open:

-Cardio Room

-Weight Room

-Lap Lane Swimming (reservations required)

-Indoor/Outdoor Group Exercise Classes (reservations required)

-Showers & Locker Rooms

Wee Care, open gym, the hot tub, sauna and steam room will remain closed at this time. The Y is only open to active Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA members. No Nationwide Members or guests at this time.

Our new temporary hours will be:

Monday-Friday: 6:00AM-6:00PM

Saturday: 8:00AM-12:00PM

Sunday: CLOSED

As we prepare to reopen our doors, please be assured that your safety – and the safety of all our members, staff and volunteers – is our number one priority. We’re following guidelines from health experts and local officials to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, and we have modified our policies and programs to facilitate safe physical/social distancing practices. We have also installed additional cleaning and hand sanitation stations around the facility.

What to Bring

You’ll need your membership card to check in, a mask and water bottle. Our water fountains will not be in use.

Wearing a Mask

Wearing a mask is a requirement to enter the Y, although you do not need to wear a mask while exercising. We ask that you sanitize your hands upon entry at check in.

Cardio Room

You’ll notice that some of the equipment is not in service. This allows us to provide a safe distance between members using the equipment. YMCA staff will thoroughly clean the equipment after each use and rotate the use of the equipment to allow for full sanitation. We encourage you to wipe down the equipment before and after use for extra precaution.

We invite you to join us when we reopen our facility on June 29th! We’re here to help you focus on what matters most: your health, your family and friends, and your community. We can’t wait to see you soon!
