WELCOME! The YMCA 21st Century after school program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
This program serves students in the Rock Falls School District 1st grade through 8th grade
Dillon: 1st – 2nd Grade-Book Buddies and Homework Club.
Merrill: 3rd – 5th Grade- Homework Help and STEM
RFMS: STEM, Drama, and Art
Our program serves Rock Falls students, 1st grade through 8th grade. The children also get to read the same stories as in their classroom to help echo the comprehension skills. This is one of the many great benefits of having school day teachers as teachers in our after-school program.

Meet Our Program Director
Jackie Tichler is the Program Coordinator for 21st CCLC. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management and English and Master of Arts in Organizational Management all received from Ashford University.
She oversees program operations for our three 21st CCLC sites in regards to program development and implementation, staff development, and fiscal management for the grant.

We believe in providing YMCA membership and programs for all. That’s why the Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA financial assistance for children, teens, adults and families who cannot afford the full cost of Y membership and/or programs.

Your information will be held in complete confidence and will be seen only by YMCA staff responsible for financial assistance.
We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We require supporting documentation to verify household size and income, and we consider special circumstances when providing assistance.
Recipients are typically expected to be responsible for a percentage of the membership cost.
The funds available for Financial Assistance are made possible through the generosity of our members and donors in our YMCA Annual Campaign.
